THE FARMS

Locally Grown Pumpkins

Maniac Pumpkin Carvers specializes in REAL pumpkins, sourced directly from local family farms. We strongly believe in supporting local agriculture and have had an ongoing relationship with New York City's famous GrowNYC Greenmarket, located in Union Square, since the inception of our company. Some of our favorite pumpkins growers are Sycamore Farms, in Middletown, NY, Van Houten Farms, in Orangeburg, NY, Secor Farms in Mahwah, NJ and Linvilla Farms in Media, PA

Please support your local family farms by shopping for all your harvest needs at local farmers markets, farm stands, and food co-ops.

We love our farms!

THE GREENMARKET

The Union Square Greenmarket was one of the first venues to give us a chance when we started this crazy path. The Greenmarket farms and staff have been extremely supportive of us in so many ways. From helping us track down all of our odd requests for various pumpkins and gourds, to putting us in touch with the best farmers in town, and providing us with opportunities to share our work with thousands of NY residents and tourists. Doing various events with the Greenmarket year after year is always such a joy because it always feels like home. At no other event do you get as many people from as diverse a range of places, ages, and backgrounds as in Union Square. Its always exciting and you never know who will show up. We've caught Chef Emeril Lagasse, a Prince and Princess, and countless other fans of all ages checking out our Greenmarket demos. The Greenmarket has been putting NYC consumers directly in touch with the farmers who feed them for over 30 years. We are grateful for this amazing resource in our city. It is always a funny sight to see a couple of Maniacs, piling pumpkins by the dozen into a taxi cab, as it holds the already congested traffic running alongside the Greenmarket.
